About
Silvan is an illustrator, printmaker, and self-publisher whose practice explores image-making, working between print, drawing, ceramics, installation, and digital media. Her work investigates how images can move, translate, and transform across different contexts.
Graduating from Camberwell College of Arts, she has developed an ongoing interest in self-publishing as both a method and a space for experimentation. Her practice often reflects on the relationship between natural environments and human emotion, using visual language as a way to build subtle connections between the two. She treats images not as fixed outcomes but as living elements—something that can be rearranged, reinterpreted, and shared, creating more playful and open-ended approaches where images function as a medium of communication.
Alongside her practice, she also works as an educator, where she values collaborative learning and encourages students to explore research-driven processes and diverse possibilities of visual expression.
